    Location

    Le Stonghe owes its name to the mountain ridge La Stonga where the estate is located, which is part of the Fossombrone municipality. Le Stonghe lies at the foothills of the Apennine mountains in an idyllic mountain landscape. The location is ideal and has great diversity, in a range of 20 kilometers there is the sea and the mountains of the backcountry.

    Surroundings

    The Italian region Le Marche often called ‘the best kept secret of Italy’. Between the Adriatic coast and the Apennine mountains lies this undiscovered region. The direct surroundings of Fossombrone are very rich in terms of history and culture. The Roman town of Urbino was established in the 3rd century B.C. and knew great cultural flourish during the Renaissance. The historic city centre of Urbino is on the Unesco world heritage list.

    There are numerous historic and cultural sights to visit. Behind Fossombrone the Appenine mountains start and 20 km towards the sea you end up in the coast town of Fano which has an amazing old city center and a nice beach to enjoy the Italian sun.
